Studio Series: Animating Dance (Youth Session)
Date & TimeSat, Mar 24 | 1–2:30pm
Ballet was a major influence to Disney Legend Glen Keane when he created his animated shorts Duet (2014) and Nephtali (2015). In both films, we see a specific loose and rough style in his art which helps to maintain the movement of lines, the body’s expressions, and the overall essence of the dance. By using black paper and white pencils to recreate Keane’s stylistic choice, join us in animating a simple dance sequence, while learning important animation principles: slow in & slow out, exaggeration, and arcs.
