Join us for a two-week intensive class exploring character animation and get an exclusive look into today’s animation field with guest animators from The Animation Collaborative. In-process feedback, technical presentations, and personal career advice provide a comprehensive, hands-on look at the artistic elements and hard work that bring animation to life.

In this session, students focus on the process it takes to bring a character to life by studying how personality, subtlety, and basic principles of animation influence believable performances in animated films. Students work on animating pose tests and key frames then animating rough scenes to truly express how a character can be brought to life.

This intensive course is designed for students interested in creating a character and developing professional animation practices.

Students interested in taking the class must submit an application which includes examples of artwork. Please send an email to studio@wdfmuseum.org with the subject line "From Sketch to Screen Application" and in the body, include student name, age, and grade (If still in high school). Applications are sent upon request and are not downloadable.

Applications are now due by May 20, 2018 and acceptance and rejection notifications will be sent out no later than May 30, 2018.
